What To See On An Indian Vacation

If your planning a trip to India there are somethings you simply must see. Places like the Taj Mahal, Amer Fort, Water & Amusement Parks in India, Touring Islands, Ancient Ruins, Qutub Minar, Agra Fort, Golden Temple, Amer Jeep Safari, City tours, Mahabodhi temple, Bodhi tree, to name a few. Regardless if you are traveling alone, with your family or with friends, these are places that will take your breath away with all it’s beauty it has to offer the naked eye.

Whenever you decide to travel to India you will need to be ready because it could be really hot or it could be really cold. So make sure you pack ready to enjoy yourself. Here are some things you just can’t leave home without:

Clothing
Depending when you are traveling you will need to know what is the weather like in India. So the best way is get on your computer or android hand phone and Google the climate in India. If you are traveling in the hot weather of course bring all the comfortable clothes you will want to wear in the hot weather. But I suggest you also bring one or two changes of clothes in case there is a sudden change in weather so it will not stop you from enjoying your time in India.

Be specific when Googling where you are traveling to in India so you get accurate information as to how the weather will be when you arrive. Generally speaking in India the weather between October to March it is a dry winter season and the weather is cold. But April to June is the hot dry summer season and you can pretty much expect a lot of hot sunny weather. But in mid September us a time if a lot of rain and monsoons and I don’t know about you I would not be wanting to travel in that time as this means a lot of hotel time not getting out to seeing things you want to see.

Your Cellular Phone
It is nice to bring a camera to catch all the beautiful memories you want to remember for years to come. But it is a wise idea to bring your cellular phone, your charger and it is recommended you bring a power bank in case you battery dies while you are out and about enjoying your time. Always carry your phone with you everywhere you go in case something unexpected happens and you need to contact someone urgently. But also you most likely have a camera and video built into your phone so if your camera battery is low you will still be able to capture all those special moments you want to get.

Passport and Travel Papers
It is very important to make a copy of your passport and travel documents such as your travel insurance and maybe your credit cards etc. Make sure you always carry your passport with you everywhere you go and keep it in a safe place on your body. For me I bought a body pouch that fits under my shirt so there is no way someone can pick my pocket and take it. If you lose your passport for any reason that is why you want a hard copy and one on a thumb drive along with all your other document information. This should include everything you normally have in your wallet in case your wallet is gone. You will then be easily able to make the calls to cancel the cards and let the card center aware of what happened to you.

You should also carry your travel insurance with you in case something happens while you are away from the hotel. If your hotel has a safe box in it make sure to secure your copies there and your airline ticket. If you are not comfortable you can ask the front desk for a safe box at the front desk and they will assign one to you so you will know your important belongings are safe.

Spending Money
You will need to make sure to bring enough money to last you on your trip. But a better way is to make sure your ATM card will work where you are going so you don’t have to carry a huge amount of money with you. Bring your credit card as well so you can use the credit card instead of cash but always make sure you have some cash on you. For me I always put $500 in the bottom of my feet in case I ever got robbed. You never know what could happen to you when you are in a foreign country.

Another way you can save money and having 90% of everything you will do is inquire about all-inclusive resorts or hotels. This is where in most cases the flight, hotel or resort, food, drinks (non-alcohol), amusements, attractions and anything else that might belong to the hotel or resort and arrangements they might have made with outside vendors. But you would need to contact the hotel or resort or your travel agency and find out what all is included. They you prepay and 90% of your vacation is already paid for. Now you only worry about souvenirs.

Emergency Agencies
Before you leave home make sure you know where is the police station nearest where you will be staying, ambulance and fire in case something should happen that you need them. Also make sure you know where is the nearest hospital.

Family and Friends
It is always a good idea to let your family and fiends know where you are going and for how long. Make sure you check in from time to time, either by facebook by posting photo’s and letting people know what you are doing and where you are. Or contact them by Whats Apps so everyone knows you are safe and sound. You want to enjoy your adventure with yourself or with your family or the friends you are traveling with but you also want the people back home know you are safe. With todays world you just never know and best to be safe than sorry.
